Meet John Taylor
Like many business owners, John Taylor’s journey to entrepreneurship began with finding his passion and then building from there. He explains, “In 1990, I worked the night shift in the bindery of a local calendar printer as I entered college. There, I learned to run small offset presses. And so it began!”
John continues, “Running two small printing company operations and the pressroom/R&D for an international playing card manufacturer over the next thirteen years, I trained in the ‘art of print production.’ It’s truly an art form, but also a lucrative endeavor. I learned from, and was counseled by, some of the most talented businessmen, operators and technicians in America and Europe.”
He adds, “When I decided to return home, I answered an ad with a printer in Nashville, the Minuteman Press franchise. The owner and I teamed up to stabilize his production, expand in-house products and services and cultivate an effective outside sales team. After 12 years, I bought the franchise. As the owner of his business and leader of his team, John Taylor is simply driven to thrive and keep going strong. His mornings involve getting everything ready for clients and production team leaders. John then runs production meetings, leads his marketing and sales team, and manages other aspects of the business such as product development and customer engagement. “My days get pretty full,” he says, which is all part of the plan in continuing to build on John’s Minuteman Press franchise success.
